In 2012, Union Glass was acquired by Tim Barrow, who continued to drive the company forward with significant investments in new equipment and innovation.

In 2005, Union Glass acquired its first sandblasting machine.

In 2003, Union Glass promoted Nigel Brown, a dedicated and long-standing member of the team, to the position of Operations Director.

In 1999, Union Glass acquired its second-ever Stright line edger.

In 1993, Union Glass acquired its first straight line edger.

In 1991, Union Glass was acquired by John and Sandra Smaridge, who propelled the company forward by investing in advanced machinery and expanding services.

In the late 1980s Union Glass was acquired by Paul Borge and Steve Hughes, who oversaw the company’s first relocation. After more than 15 years at Hamilton House, they moved the business further along Armada Street.

Union Glass was established in 1972 by Mrs. Isac and Mr. Harvey. From its humble beginnings, the company embarked on a journey that continues to thrive 50 years later.
