Toughened Safety glass

Toughened glass has been heat treated to changes the structure of the glass. It gives it increased strength and if it breaks, it shatters into small granular pieces. Once glass has been toughened — it cannot be cut. Toughened glass carries a BSI Kitemark BS EN 12150. You will find this in one corner of your toughened glass.
