Tinted - Body Tinted glass

This is glass that has had metal oxides added to it, to colour the glass blue, green, grey or bronze. The glass is still transparent, just with added colour.

Green glass has iron added, Blue glass has iron and cobalt, Grey and Bronze has iron, cobalt and selenium added.

Body tinted glass is often seen in feature shelving, outdoor balustrade, shower screens. The tints reduce the glare of the sun by reducing the amount of solar energy transmitted through it.
